18 days since I've last update.... whups >_>
So I will do this by date again but they are going to be short cause I don't want to spend forever typing cause I wanna do some situps and study czech. Btw the photo is from B club. Me, Lucie and Monika.
Thursday, October 21st (Ctvrtek, Rijen 21)
The science movies here area as lamely entertaining as the ones back home. I also calculated since I have to leave on June 30th to the dot I'm going to spend 290 days in the Czech Rep. I went to seminary today but it was cancelled so I went back to art class which was kinda boring this week.
Friday, October 22nd (Patek, Rijen 22)
I had a weird dream last night, it involved Alice in Wonderland and 6.G participating in this strange band. Then it switched to this mideval castle scene and the forest around it. I tried to do the math test and didn't understand zip. After school I went to the art shop and got some black felt-tip pens for my drawings. I've been working on a yoga/airbender one that I went to felt-tip. Went to Novohradske Mountains and stayed at Baronuv Most (Baron's Bridge). It was really pretty and nice.
Saturday, October 23rd (Sobota Rijen 23)
Got up at 8 no problem. We left to go hiking 2 hours latter and got back to Baronuv Most around 5. We stopped in Zofin for lunch. We saw a few ruins of villages because after WW2 the governement moved everybody out of the area. The area is called Czech Canada, with good reason too. I was very fashionble in capri sweats and leggings.
Sunday, October 24th (Nedele, Rijen 24)
Hiked along the czech-austrian border and went to this cool rock formation which is the highest point in the area. I was called Kamenec. I have also discovered the wonder of cinimini granola bars. We hiked for most of the morning and part of the afternoon then went on our way home passing through Dobra Voda which has a church and apparently the water from under the strings has magical powers. Tasted like normal water to me.
Monday, October 25th (Pondeli, Rijen 25)
I have to do a powerpoint on Vancouver for geography. Similar to the Madagascar powerpoint Chanty and I did (and whatever african country you others did). But I don't have to present it for 2 weeks and it can be in English.
Tuesday, October 26th (Utery, Rijen 26)
Last day of school this week cause then it's fall break and Thursday is the celebration of the creation of Czechoslovakia. Basketball practice was really good, tournament next Monday :D :D :D. I ended up playing basketball with the boys in gym cause the other girls went to the weight room during the second half. I'm pretty sure my team won :P. Whenever there is yogurt for lunch we grab all the leftovers cause our group is usually there right before the cafeteria closes. I am also starting to speak a little czech franglais (its really confusing).
Wedsnday, October 27th (Streda, Rijen 27)
Watched Grease with Petra today, in czech. I understood most of it which was good and the music was still in English. Found out Ody got the LEAD in the spring play and forgot to inform me the moment it happened, silly girl. Tonight I went to B club. Monika made us do a twilight photo. It was really funny cause she was trying to get us into our places but we were in the middle of the street so we had to keep moving for cars. All the girls were Bellas and the two boys (Kevin and Stepan) were Edward and Jacob. Didn't get home till midnight.
Thursday, October 28th (Ctvrtek, Rijen 28)
Happy celebration of the creation of Czechoslovakia. I was up at 8 and we were driving away to the Sumava mountains by 9:30. On the way there we stopped in along the way including the hometown of my host dad. We meet up with friends of my host parents when we got to the Eurocamp including Klara, who is like a little host sister. I am teaching her how to make stringknot bracelet. I also got to make the fire today :D
Friday, October 29th (Patek, Rijen 29)
Went to Germany and climbed up Luzny which had the most beautiful view ever of Czech Rep. and Germany. You could see the Alps on the Horizon (really cool). Jirka being the child he is started a snowball fight. We also went to a zoo like the bear inclosure on Grouse. Then we went to a treetop adventure type thing but with this cool egg tower that I ran up and ran down. Getting second place on the way down but only cause my host mom sneakily got a head start. Saw a guy who reminded me of Alex Apreisbach.
Saturday, October 30th (Sobota, Rijen 30)
I went geocaching in the Czech Republic! The epicness of this statement is extreme. We found 3 in total. I found the last one and took out this little bear charm. Apparently Sorry! is a really popular game here. We went to Hard Velhartice. Which was having a medival fair. I got some presents and a belt for myself. We made paper latterns and there was a lattern parade to the town square when it closed. Before that they used an old fashioned catapult and we're catapulting flaming balls, one of which almost got my host dad. I didn't know we we're playing flaming football.
Sunday, October 31st (Nedele, Rijen 31)
Happy Halloween. Saw this famous painting of Madonna crying blood. It was pretty cool. Then we began the drive home. Went for chinese for lunch and I had tofu, sooooo good. Which has lead to me deciding to cut back on my meat consumption and avoid beef and pork if possible. Don't worry I'm buying multivitamins this week. Got home and chatted with the fam back in Vancouver.
Monday, November 1st (Pondeli, Listopad 1)
Only one more week to write about. Basketball tournament was boring cause the coach only played these 6 girls most of the time. Typical. I'm making a lot of stingknot bracelets. I'm going to be covered in them soon.
Tuesday, November 2nd (Utery, Listopad 2)
Went to see a theater production in Brno called Pygmallion. It was in English and it was really funny. Had ramen for the first time in ages. Ended up talking to Ody for a bit which was nice. Rotary meeting was really good, I think my czech was ok.
Wednsday, November 3rd (Streda, Listopad 3)
First time I've actually been to school in a week and on wedsnday school ends at 1:30 :D. Stupid bookstore didn't have this book I wanted to buy my host dad for his birthday that's coming up. Had blueberry dumplings with a cottage cheese icing, soooooo good. Trying to get ahead in my czech studies.
Thursday, November 4th (Ctvrtek, Listopad 4)
Had a really good morning cause I got up 10 mins earlier than usual. However then I got to school and realized I forgot my key so I couldn't get into my locker. The weather was really nice today. We looked at photos from my classemates dance class yesterday. It was rock and roll and jive night so some of the boys and girls dressed like Grease characters. Kudos to Kevin, Tomas and Lukas for their outfits. I learnt that the czechs have a saying that translates to "Repition is the mother of wisdom" aka "Practice makes perfect". Do any Hockey fans know what a Simbin is btw? Art was really good as was seminary.
Friday, November 5th (Patek, Listopad 5)
I decided to stay home this weekend instead of travelling with the J's (Jirka and Jara). Was thinking of going to B club but decided not too. Next time I will though. I walked home by the forest path which meant it took longer to get home but it was a really nice walk but my bag was heavy cause of the BOOKS from the library, in french and english cause both sections were really small.
Saturday, November 6th (Sobota, Listopad 6)
Got up at 8 but took forever to get dressed. Had a really good breakfast then went into town to buy Jirkas bday present cause the other bookstore which was hiding from me had it. Finally got my vitamins and a few snacks for the weekend. Started and finished my geography powerpoint during the afternoon. Then helped Petra clean the house and watched the new karate kid movie.
Sunday, November 7th (Nedele, Listopad 7)
Church was really nice today. I was able to understand a few things which made me really happy. When my host parents got home Jirka went straight to opening his bday present from my host mom (a new stereo system) which she chided him for opening to early (His birthday is still a week and a half away). I finished two books today :D. Now I'm starting Jane Eyre. Talked to mom for and 1 1/2 hours so I didn't get to bed till midnight. But it was nice chatting. Poor Fritz got skunked. Told them I'm half-vegetarian now and then we're went on their make sure you're body gets the nutrients it needs talk which I expected from them. No idea what the veggies and the meatlover gonna say once they read about the vegetarian thing.
Monday, November 8th (Pondeli, Listopad 8)
Had to rush for the last bus cause I sleeped in a little today. Because of this I was slightly running and a rock decided it would be awesome if it put itself in my path so I would trip nearly catch myself but fall anyways. Thankfully not scraping my hands too bad but scrapping my knee and creating a hole in my skinny jeans. Thank you rock, thank you. Otherwise my day was really good, Bio was actually interesting for once. Probably cause we'd moved on from basic plant cells. English was funny was usual even though we were lacking the class clown.
There we go Kenz, blog is now updated. Oh yah forgot to mention I got a letter from Kenzie. One of the top highlights of the past 18 days for sure. Anyways I'm going to do some situps, study some czech, read and watch a movie maybe. Enjoy your rain back in Vacouver. It's raining right now which is rare but not for long I bet :D Only 1700 words this time :D

Good Lazy Times
Wedsnday, October 13th (Streda Rijen 13)
I studied czech wile my classmates took an English test. After the test we had to mime emotions. Honza was very good at it ;). I have decided I'm going to go to Sunflower Caravan on Saturday with Monika. In physics Honza explained what we were doing so it actually made sense :D. I tired doing the math test, probably failed. Lunch was doughboys, sooooooooo good :D. Both Petra and I love Daniel Jackson in Stargate SG-1.
Thursday, October 14th (Ctvrtek Rijen 14)
I went to music instead of art today. Honza made a bed of chairs which Karel, Lucka and I put to good use during the break. The chairs in the music room are cushioned :D. We have a Bio test tomorrow which I'm not going to do cause I have no chance of even getting 1 point. In after-school art class we did ceramics. I made a Dragon cup and its actually pretty good. Had a yummy dinner and watched President Uchtdorf's conference talk, it was really good.
Friday, October 15th (Patek, Rijen 15)
My bus pass was in my other jacket so Petra had to lend me money for the bus. Not gonna forget that again. Besides that I had a really good morning. Would've caught the first bus if I hadnt had the bus pass problem. I don't know if I'll go to the concert cause Monika can't go now and my czech is limited still. Random fact: since I've been here I've been planning all my outfits in my agenda so I can lay them out at night before I go to bed. This saves so much time and when I come back it'll be a little diary of what I wore amoung other things. I was feeling a little sick today so when I got home I bought a little more than a little comfort food ad watched Stargate. Boli sleeped with me which made me miss Fritz a litte.
Saturday, October 16th (Sobota Rijen 16)
Didn't do much till evening. Watched Stargate, ate food, went for a 1 1/2 hour walk with Boli. He decided to play hide and go seek which I did not find funny at all. In the end I went to Sunflower Caravan with Petra cause her boyfriend was going anyways to help his friend who was doing the sound for it. The bassist creeped me out but the vocalist/pianist was cool. Boli ended up in my bed again, must be cause Jara and Jirka are outta town.
Sunday, October 17th (Nedeli Rijen 17)
Petra left to Berlin today, then shes going to Prague for a class trip. So she won't be here all week :(. I looked up my new school, when I get back, in Maple Ridge and colleges in Abbotsford. I think about the future way too much. Talked to Mom and Dad, dad suggested maybe getting a drafting table in the new house aka awesome. But we'll see.
Monday, October 18th (Pondeli Rijen 18)
It was Vancouver weather in Trebic today. Wet and rainy :( I hate it. So I can only speak czech now. It's definitely improving every day though. I sometimes speak a little english so I can get the point across but rarely. In geography we were talking about Chinook wind or something and they asked me about it cause we're studying North America now. I said, "To je ryba. To je dobry jidlo (It is fish. It is good food)." Which made everybody laugh. Instead of going to the fitness center, cause I was feeling a little sick still, I went for a walk with Jirka and Boli. I love Czech countryside. I also love the fireplace in the living room. Its making that room one of my fav rooms in this house.
Tuesday, October 19th (Utery Rijen 19)
Left my laptop on and got woken by Ody at 3am on msn so I chatted with her for 10 mins then went back to sleep. Kinda felt like a dream cause I was half asleep. Jara gave me a ride to school cause she was up and I had basketball at 6:30am. There will be a tournament in Trebic for Basketball on November 1st and on the 2nd I go to Brno with school to see a play (methinks). But only 5 other classmates are going because they were just extra spaces. In History we watched the movie in English with Czech subs cause there was no English sub option, just to be nice to me, another Dekuji to my class. In gym we had the option of volleyball or the weightroom. Basketball was a choice but not enough people wanted too. I'm horrible at volleyball and dislike it so weightroom it was. I did yoga and Vcera asked me to teach her some yoga. So I taught her what I could and I made a chart tonight of some poses and Sun Salutation. Jirka also told me theres a yoga class at 3 at my school, he knows the teacher, so I'm going to that tomorrow :D. Had potatoe pancakes for dinner, sooooo good. I even made some of them.
Wedsnday, October 20th (Streda Rijen 20)
My drawings are getting ahead of my journal entries, but I'm sure they'll catch up at one point. I've been drawing a lot lately. In English we talked about Rememberance/Poppy day and read "In Flander's Field". I had to tell the class about it in Canada. Somehow I made the #5 bus even though I was running a little late. I went home before yoga to grab my sweats and drop off my stuff. I could only do this cause I finish school at 1:30 on wedsndays :D Yoga was really good, I like the teacher and it was really relaxing. Jara got home a bit after me and made me try this mini pancakes with cinnamin sugar which means they were really good.
Anyways time to do other things. Next update will prolly be in a week. This weekend we're going to the mountains though they say its more of a hill. It's gonna be cold cause its supposed to snow this weekend. A little too early. November would have been ok but it's snow so I'm happy :D
Tata for now :D <3

Class Ball and Prague
And I've been writing in a journal everyday so its all good my friends. All the details are there so this will be a good post :D
Monday, October 4th (Pondeli, Rijen 4)
I'm able to speak simple sentences in czech now. Today I talked with Moniko about music and we talked about our class trip in History. I couldnt wait to eat brownies after school with m consuming todo list. I started to work on Jaras birthday present because her birthday is on Friday. I'm making her a necklace, its has mostly red and brown beads with a few turquoise and pink ones. I hope she likes it. Petra gave me some of their beading supplies so it'll be really good necklace methinks. My roots are showing so I'm going to dye my hair on wedsnday. I went to the gym. Ran on treadmill for 20 mins, did some weights then went on the elliptical for 20 mins then stretched. I'm going to try to go every Monday.
Tuesday, October 5th (Utery, Rijen 5)
I had basketball at 6:30am, so I had to get up at 5:00 cause I had to catch a bus at 6:05. It was really. Some of the girls were really really good at basketball. I think I did ok for not playing for some long. My step hop shoot ones really suck though (I forget the proper name). My bio teacher is epic, shes funny, the whole class loves her. In History, Karel was drawing in his notebook and our teacher grabed his water bottle pretending to kill him saying, "I wont go to jail because everyone will be happy and write me an alibi."
So Honzo said, "What alibi, that you weren't in class?" Moniko had to explain this to me. And in english, I disagreed with something my english teacher said and he said I must not be romantic then but Terca agreed with me so HA :D. Tomas and Karel had a little scrimmage in class cause Tomas squirted water on Karel. Tomas, one of the boys in my class, was at the Rotary exchange information meeting. He wants to go to the states so I was like, ok thats good. I had really good brie cheese and ketchup and mustard and meat sammich but it was grilled so it was really goooood, Petra made it. My host sister is absolutely amazing.
Wedsnday, October 6th (Streda, Rijen 6)
This one is going to be really long, it took up a whole page in small writing in my sketchbook/journal. Ok, so I was really tired this morning but I still made the #5 bus which is the second bus to school. But still on time, it comes 2 mins after the first bus. Terca suggested I know how to ask someone to dance in czech so Moniko taught me. Cause tonight is the class ball. I'm wearing my white halter dress with the orange flowers. In math, Andrea and Natali found some paste to keep fake teeth in so the whole class was joking about giving it to this teacher they had last year that they don't like. Karel suggested that they do it on the loudspeaker at the dance tonight. In geography we're doing stuff on Africa and I know this stuff just in english. Tis a problem. My german teacher scares me cause she seemed very grumpy the first time I meet her but she has and elf face and hair. And even in czech rep its hard to find good principles. No one in my class likes him and Petra was saying he was good until he became the princeple.
I dyed my hair. Its a little less yellow cause I didnt get the super blonde dye. Petra was kinda sad about that. Shes reminds me a lot of Megan sometimes. Babicka brought over Boli and he was howling cause he was missing Jara. Before the dance I went to a yw meeting. Annicka and her friend both like basketball so we kinda talked about that for a bit. And then we talked about activities we can do for yw. We went to Meloni for the meeting which is has really crepes :D The dance was good, some of my classmates are really good at dancing and two dancing couples from our class made it to the final six. Karel and Vera and Lukas and Dana (Lukas and Dana are a real couple).
During the break we took photos which are one fb btw. During the photos Karel offered me something to drink so I asked what it was and he said "Beer." so my automatic response was "Noooooooooooooooo." And I had to explain that whole thing to everyone. But one of the girls, I cant remember who, said she didnt like beer either. But Karel kept saying it was delicious and I kept saying it was disgusting. During the dance I sat with Radka's parents. Her mom really liked my ring (the native american one) and they were really nice. Anyways Jirka picked me up and then I collasped into bed.
Thursday, October 7th (Ctvrtek, Rijen 7)
This one is short compared to yesterday. Moniko and I were talking about music and she said before I came they looked at my fb profile and they were afraid I was going to be a super tokio hotel freak nerd. Thankfully I am more normal now and I'm not a superfreak anymore. In my second english class we boo-ed Mr. Hedgehog cause he didnt come to the dance last night even though we had given him a ticket. Its funny in english when he gives me this "Is that right" look cause I'm the native english speaker. I went to art at 4 then to seminary at 5 till 6 then back to art till 8. Since I only go to the half of the 4pm one cause of seminary, my awesome art teacher said to come to the later one. The elders gave me a book on learning czech and there was an old missionary couple there so we chatted while we waited for all the late people. In art we did an abstract line thing. I really enjoyed it. I helped Petra with brownies when I got home cause Jara needed them for work.
Friday, October 8th (Patek, Rijen 8)
More then halfway through :D. So I had to eat my nommy breakfast while walking to the bus stop cause I was a little late today. In civics I was used as an example cause I was a foreigner in a new culture cause we were talking about culture and people and stuff. My civics teacher is like Wakefield. In History Lucka hide Karels water bottle so he complained to the teacher and she called him a baby. The teacher then said to give in back to him but it czech that can also sound like punch him. But we made him leave the class and then Lucka got out his water bottle from the hiding place. Twas funny.
Alright now to Prague. We stayed with family friends of the telatnikovi's but I cant prounounced their last name so yah. But their son Radim was really nice. We got there and he asked if I wanted to go out with him and his friends which I did cause being with the adults would have been boring. So we went to a pub and I meet Prague people and learnt more czech. Found out the that czechs dont really care if you're underage and drink. I had water, in case anyone was wondering. But it was interesting and funny for me. Radim who is a month older than me keep teaching his friend magic tricks for free beer. He also spent last year in the states so his english was good so he explained when things were funny. We got home around 11 and I wrote in journal and sleeped. Oh Boli was really funny when we were leaving cause he was sitting in the care with a "take me" face. I has a photo
Saturday, October 9th (Sobota, Rijen 9)
There are still 2 and 1/2 pages in my sketchbook for the next 4 days (thats including today) so lets get to saturday. I dragged myself outta bed a bit after 8 and didnt go downstairs until I was makeuped and dressed. Jara brought a really good cake with us because it was her birthday on friday and she love her present btw, she said they were her colors. Anyways the cake was super chocolately, sooooo good. Which we had some for breakfast. Klara, the 10 yr of the family we stayed with, was really cute.
In prague we walked through the gardens past the wine gardens then to the Prague castle where we climbed up the south tower to a beautiful view. I was grinning from ear to ear when Jirka said we could go up it. There was also a toy museum but I just got postcards and a trinket for my phone. I also got a little book on Alponse Mucha, a famous czech artist I absolutely adore. His style is beautiful, I absolutely love love love it. I also got a soccer scarf, my super czech souvenir. I also got a cheap summer skirt but I know how to make it winter appropriete. I also got a necklace for mom and earrings for me, which Jara insisted on getting for me as a gift. The Telatnikovis are so nice. They are absolutely amazing, I couldnt ask for a better host family. I absolutely adore them.
We also walked on the Charles brigde. Everybody loves Charles here, in Trebic the town square is called Charles square. He was an important czech king and the roman cesar. It was a cool brigde. Saw this ceramic whistles, almost got one for ody but I still have 9 months here. Once we got back the house we were staying at we had good food and Radim and I talked about differences between Czech Rep and Canada and how good Krispy Kreme is. He then helped me practice my czech. My feet are sore from all the walking.
Sunday, October 10th (Nedele, Rijen 10)
I wrote about Sunday on Monday cause we were busy the whole day and I slept on the bus ride back to Trebic cause Jirka went to a czech spa with his parents so he took the car back to Trebic Saturday night. And when we got to Trebic, I had some food then collasped into bed. We meet up with Bara, my older host sister who goes to school in Prague so she lives there. We went to this interior design show. It was really cool. They had some nice stuff and I could totally picture mom plotting what things she would want in the new house. We then went into town and ate really good indien vegetarian food for lunch then we went walking around downtown. We saw the astrological clock and went down Pariska which when translated is Paris Street which is where all the designer shops are. Then I did some window shopping, almost fell in love with a coat for Zara but the shelves were too short. I have a feeling this will happen a lot to me. But that was ok cause I didnt need to by it. I had a cool dream sunday morning but I dont feel like writing about it in here
Monday, October 11th (Pondeli, Rijen 11)
Moniko couldnt find her list of romanticism books shes read so she was convinced czech class was going to be bad. She was also shocked when I said I had never been to an actual concert or anything like that so she mentioned that a czech band is playing at b-club on saturday. So I might go, Jirka and Jara said I probably can. I got one of those hats that look good on me and a pair of sweats at the cheap chinese shop cause I only have one pair of gym/working out clothes. I went to the gym but only one treadmill was working so I didnt get to run. :( But I worked my muscles and went on the bike.
I also had my first phone convo with the family back home. Sounds like everything is good there. We talked for a long while but then mom was like "We're going to stop talking to you cause you need sleep" I'm surprised I dont feel like that made me super homesick but maybe a little but it was so nice talking to everyone. Anyways I have an early morning tomorrow. Btw I have been reading my scriptures pretty much every night which is good. I'm working on the word Deligence from D&C section 4 so that prolly why I remember every night.
Tuesday, October 12th (Utery, Rijen 12)
YAY we finally made it to today :D So basketball practice was really good but it was really cold in the morning. It was below zero and its dark at 6am. I scored the first basket for me team, it was a really nice one too but I try hard to never ball hog cause I know how much I hated when people did that. My hand got covered cause I was drawing in one of my classes. I draw cause my brain needs a break from studying czech a few times a day. Its a really weird drawing but I like it so thats good. I attempted the test on romanticisms in czech. I think I did better on the one I attempted in geography cause we studied africa last year. Sorry if I wrote geology instead of geography somewhere in here but I'm too lazy to try and find it. I caught the same bus as Petra coming home. We talked about the basketball championships in Trebic and how she'll play against me cause she goes to the catholic gymnasium cause they teach latin. Had really good apple juice, homemade by Jirkas parents. Anyways I need to go socialized. Writing this took a long time.

Class Trip, Art Gallery, Rotary Meeting, and YW conference
After Slavonice we went to the forest nearby where they do WW1 and WW2 reanactments. There were a bunch of bunkers with barbed wire and such. The forests here and really pretty. The boys started a reanactement of their own while we were there. It was really funny.
Then we drove to a Castle. I would say this one I liked better then the one at Strecno. It was really cool and we went to the top of the tower, the view was spectacular. Honzo, who is the one all knowledgable about technology, was leaning against the pole and and our teacher was joking about kicking his feet out from under him. After the castle we drove to Dacice and went past 2 Zameks, which are like palaces/chateaus.
In Dacice we walked around the town square a bit then we went to a small art gallery and museum about the making of the sugar cube. Before they had sugar cubes the sugar was in a cone shape and you had to use man power and clamp tweezer thing. So the story is the wife of the owner of the sugar factory hurt her hand trying to make small cubes for tea so she suggested to her husband to make smaller cubes. He felt sorry for his injured wife and a while letter had a permit to make the sugar cubes. I was a little bored cause the tour guide was blabbing away in czech. I got sugar cubes at the gift shop as did many other people :D.
When we got back to Trebic, I went to art with Monika V. for an hour. Art class is actually two hours but I go to seminary instead. I could go to another class but I rather spend time with people I know and my age and continue to make friends. Seminary was also very good. The other three youth in it are all siblings. Anicka, Lukas (Lukash) and Honzo if I remember all the names correctly. The missionaries also go to seminary and translate for me :D. I have never been so thankful for missionaries in my life.
On Friday, school was pretty normal. Petra had helped me with czech grammer on Thursday night so I reviewed what we had gone over one class and another I drew alternating. Keeps me occupied and from getting sick of czech grammer. After school on Friday I went to the opening of a small Art Gallery with Dolesky. We meet the artist and she talked about what each piece of artwork meant. I really liked her paintings. They were very much my style. Then afterwards there was food and people chatted. It was cold out :( but I was ok. After we went to the Rotary meeting which was kinda boring I will admit until members of the Jewish community preformed some dances for us in traditional style dress. That was really cool. The boys were also pulling out their jackets or their vests just bellow the colar bone. They were really good. My czech is definitely getting better though. I am able to hold basic conversations now.
On Saturday I got up super early to go to a YW conference in Uherste Hrade or spelt similar to that. It was really cool. Though we did have some train troubles and half of us were late because of that. I was in that late half. I practiced my czech a lot and a couple of yw spoke english which was helpful. We did a play on the plan of salvation. I was Moroni becaust that didnt require any talking. For Adam and Eve we made "censor" boxes :D. All the leaders laughed. The way back to Trebic was unevently in the fact we didnt have train problems again.
Once home, Jirka and Jara helped me with my rolled R which I am determined to learn.
Well thats it. I am going to go make brownies now and watch a session of General conference, proabaly the Saturday morning one since it seems President Uchdorf had a talk.
Tata for now :D

Czech Holidays and Church
On Friday, Petra and I, went to Jihlava by bus. Its a town 40km or so away. We went shopping where we both had to stay out of the shoe stores cause they had so many cute shoes. I got this cute pins for my blazer and the creatures on them come in dolls but they didnt have a doll of the one I liked best but if I find it I am soooo buying it. I also got some stockings and a birthday present for Isaac. Its a Tshirt that says "Wasn't me". I should've gotten one for Andrew too :D. We then went to see a movie in 3D whos name continues to escape me. Its really annoying. However it was really good movie and I liked it a lot. After we saw Petras classmate/step-cousin who was really hot but has a girlfriend :(. We also met this gay friend of Petras on the bus. He was funny. To get home from Jihlava we waited for Petras boyfriend to pick us up.
On saturday I chilled around the house. Slept in very late then drew and read. Thats about all I did. On Sunday I got up before everyone else and went to church. They branch here is mostly made of members who are related to each other and there are 3 familys with a bunch of young kids. The missionaries were insanely helpful and are going to lend me a book on the Czech language. There is also seminary on Thursdays at 5 and the missionaries teach english on Tuesdays at 6. Which hopefully I can go before I go to Rotary meetings. There is a YW conference in Uherske Hardiste, which hopefully I can go to. I really hope I can, it would be very amazing if I could. There is also a temple trip in November but I will bother Rotary about that after it on the 12th of October. There are two yw in the ward but 1 is inactive and the active one was in London this week unfortunately.
After church I went home and had yummy delicious food with my host family and talked about plans for October so I know whats going on. Sunday night I waiting for my family to get on msn but they were busy which is rare so they werent on but then I talked to them tuesday morning. My parents both seem very excited about me going on the YW conference and house stuff sounds like its going good. We talked for about an hour. I do miss them a bit but I think just msn-ing s keeping it from getting too bad. I've been drawing a lot. I will post pics once I get a fair amount done.
Today Jirka, Jara and I went to Kutna Hora. A town with a huge Cathedral which is absolutely gorgeous. We also went to a new art museum. Some of the stuff was really nice other stuff was weird mordern art that made no sense and was stupid. We also went into a medival silver mine. It was really cool but not recommended for people who are clausterphobic and trust me theres a reason for that. It was really cool and I have a aluminum coin replaca of what the old silver coins looked like which I will either wear cause it came on a leather string or I will put it on my blazer. I also had a very good lunch at this medival like pub.
Here they have ciniminis which is like cinnamin toast crunch but everybox comes with a TOY! So I have a princess Fiona I colored and a looney toons character that can jump. Also sweetened condensed milk here is considered a candy, you can buy them in toothpastelikecontainers in vanilla or chocolate flavour. Petra loves the chocolate one, I prefer the vanilla one.
School is going really good. I dont understand what the teachers are going on about but I am starting to say basic sentences in czech to my classmates :D The cafeteria by my school also has really good food so lunch is definitely pretty good everyday :D
Well thats all I think I need to update you on...

First Rotary Club Trebic Meeting
Today I went to the Rotary club meeting. It was a bit unusual because one of the members is on the UNESCO comittee or something so he took us on a tour of the basicalla which used to be a monestary dating back to 12th century. It was really cool and all the stones have symbols of the stone masons so at the end of the day the guy in charge counted the symbols and that was how the workers got payed. One of the rotarians I have nickname grandpa guffguff cause he makes me think of what guff with look like when he is really old. Tall, not as skinny as he used to be but not fat, and with white curly afro hair. Also one of them speaks french so we chatted for a bit, I quite liked him.
Then we went for dinner at a nice restaurant. Also I think stuff is cheaper here. Like a plate the size of my spread out hand filled with mashed potatoe balls was like 29 kc or a 1.50ish Canadian. Also a plate with a few veggies and a piece of chicken the size of my fist with bacon inside was 110 Kc (If I read the menu correctly) which means it was about 6 bucks or something. Could someone comfirm my suspicions since I dont eat out much. And the food was soooooooo gooooood. I am going to get very FAT here.
Today we had PE and we did 100 meter dash and long jump. I am right in the middle for gym, not the weakest nor the strongest which makes me happy. I think I did ok for long jump. Also next tuesday is a holiday which I am looking forward too.... a lot :D Also they have livewires but with many colours. Like one that is pink, blue, green and yellow. It was so cool! I have already decided that I will prolly bring a bunch back with me for everyone since I have many friends who are livewire fans.

Inbound Weekend
So a few of us were all wth (what the heck). I ran down from the castel with Pat and someone else so we could get ice cream as a reward for the hike up. I am now very sore from that and from the disco. Where Denise and I rocked it and tried to imitate the Brazillian girl who could move her hips and butt like no other (WOW). Also Crystal is a craaaaazy dancer. When they played Love the way you lie we got Myles(from USA but in Slovakia) to sing Rihanna and Denise and I rocked on the table rapping with Eminem :D Cause we is cool like that. After the disco I chilled in the hallway till curfew at midnight. My room mates were both asleep when I got back in the room. So I read until I was sleepy and had some trouble getting up cause I was sore and tired in the morning. On sunday we said are farewells. I will see the Czechs in December.... IN PRAGUE! :D but I don't remember when I will see the slovaks again.
On the way back my YEO got me really yummy czech cheese and we went to a peace monument in Alterwitz (sounds a lot like auswitz) where the battle of the three emporers took place and there is a monument of peace on the top of the hill. We went to the museum ( I remember later it was sunday so I feel bad), it was a really cool museum and very well done. I got a postcard and a letter opener thats all sword like all for 15$ Cdn which I believe is cheap for a museum (yes I am a bad girl) The three emporeres where Neopolean, Fredrik(Austria) and Alexander(Russia). Russia and Austria tried to defeat Neopolean but failed. I have to hand it Neopolean sounds pretty smart.
Anyways I meet my Babichka (grandmum) today and my other host sister Bara, who lives in Prague. She is very nice as is my Babichka, which I know I am spelling wrong but meh I'm tired and I would like to sleep but I am going to be up to see if I can catch people on msn cause I want to say HIIII!!! but not for too long. I don't want to get homesick.
Anyways that was my weekend. It was awesome obviously and more pictres are on facebook including of my rapping with Denise and Myle being Rihanna. TATA FOR NOW!!!! <3

Brno and School, Brno a Škola
S0 lets start with the rest of tuesday. I went to jewish cementary, basilika and saw a lot of the town. I am learning new words every day and I think I am learning very fast. Now to wednsday. I met the director of the school and the vicedirector. They both seem very nice and the director knew a little about Vancouver. I am in class 6G. In gymnasium all classes are with same group of people all day. Sometimes they slipt in half. There are 25 students in my class including me. It is very different from back home. I apologize I have begun to speak in bad english so people understand me. There are 3 girls in my class who help with my Czech a lot and one boy, Petr who helps me figure out where to go sometimes. I have art, chem, bio, geography, history, czech, english, german (advanced...0.o), physics, PE, math and psychology type class. In the one involving formulas I reconize so I understand a little. I like my english teacher he speaks in a british accent :D. German teacher seems mean so I already don't like her.
After school I went to the office of my host parents, they are a 5 minute walk from school the shortest way. Then I went to lunch with my host dad, Jirka. My host mom is Jara but she was on buisness trip. Czech food is about pasta, potatoe etc with cheese and meat. I am going to get very fat but the food is very good. After lunch we went to buy school supplies. We had to get notebooks, some pencils, a lock for my locker, small dictionnary and a workbook for me on Czech language meant for little kids. I really like the town square. After shopping I was tired as was Jirka. As we were driving home I saw the missionaries but was so tired I didnt want to get out and say hi.
When we got home I organized my stuff, and wrote all my new words in a small notebook I bought for all the words I learn. I was up late doing that and then when I went to bed I was asleep like a rock. I also helped my host sister, Petra, make dinner. I seems very nice and funny.
Now to today aka thursday. I went to school and found my way around pretty well. In physics we had to write a lot so I keept having to looking at one of the girls notebooks cause I don't know czech well yet. In english Mr. Hedgehog (teacher) lets me do whatever I want so I draw and read but when there is discussion I participate. They asked me who I would want to win if anyone was against USA... I said anyone but them. I made them laugh especially when they asked what about Canada and Czech and I said I wouldn't watch. Classes are only 45 minutes so I never get bored of the subject and we got no homework at all it seems. Which makes very happy Erinn :D After school today I went again to Jirka's and Jara's office where I had some of Babičtkas food. It was very good. After that we went to Brno to pick Jara up from her trip and walked around the town and had cake at a yummy sweetshop. Then we went to Czech Ikea because my host parents had to get a bath mat.
I am very tired from my day and am ready to sleep but I must pack for my inbound orientation so I may not write at all the weekend as a prewarning. Here is a link to photos on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2073229&id=1073779998&l=2e9374a3a0
Facebook is being stupid so all photos wont be up till after the weekend :(

First Day
Well lets start off with my flight. It was long and I sleeped only for 4 hours. :( The food was really yummy and I got a spot at the beggining of a section so I had infinite amounts of legroom. I sat beside this old couple who were really queit. I was also still able to look out the window :). The washroom was also right by me so I was very happy. Everyone had there own tv screen and you could watch movies/tv/play video games. It was epic :D I got to amsterdam a little early I think so I was able to get to my flight to prague on time. There were lots of businessmen on that flight and I had a window seat so I could look at prague as we descended.
Martin, who will be my third host father picked me up from the airport and drove me to Trebic (pronouced Tres beach) and then I meet my first host family. They make me feel very tall and I need inside shoes for home and school. Maybe I can use my flats for school... My room also makes me feel tall cause its got a slopped ceiling cause of the roof. I finished unpacking this morning. Sleeped ok. Showers here are also diferent. My host family is very nice and have a very spoiled cute dog and a fat cat :D Today I am going to go see more of my town and tomorrow I will go to school. Hopefully I can figure out where the church is today or tomorrow. Also my host dad sees the missonaries alot :D cause they pass his office when walking to downtown.
Anyways thats all for now I am slowly getting used to this keyboard :D

No visa
So I'm still stuck in Canada, fancy that. I'm already packed, and repacked which actually worked better for my suitcases weight and all. I'm not registered for school methinks. I am one of the last people who don't have their visa who are going to Czech Republic. So you'd think I'm frustrated, well yes I am. I would just like to leave and start my adventure. My travel agent says I should be getting my visa this week hopefully. It never takes more than 60 days and the consulate has had it for at least a month. And the guy who I thought was going to be in my class in Czech isn't so my hopes of having one friend are gone. However I still know someone there so that's good. I should really post a pic of my packing ritual and I need to find my language book that's evil which means trip to garage land. So expect a post soon ( it better be) going "YAY". That up there was my first packing attempt, my second one is much better and suitcases have changed.
